I developed a new course for Bachelor of Education students in which they create their career portfolios. The use of portfolios has become popular in the job interview process when preservice teachers apply for teaching positions. However, to date there has been little literature available which provides information about how to most effectively use a career portfolio in the hiring process for teachers. This session will present survey results from former students about their experiences using their portfolios in interviews for teaching positions.
